The more I learn about the extraordinary form, the more amazed I am. The movements of the priest are almost like following dance steps.

So you're learning this form, too?

I still haven't attended an extraordinary form Mass....the closest one is at 11:30 on Sundays, and about an hour away from me. Attending means making a day of it and Sundays are huge study days for me. Beginning in Advent, though, one will be closer so I hope to attend that in a lull where studying isn't an issue!

I'm trying to learn it, but it's going slowly. The Extraordinary Form is absolutely beautiful, but very intricate. The Ordinary Form is almost child's play by comparison.

I hope you do get a chance to attend the Extraordinary Form. It's a different experience than what most post-Vatican II Catholics are used to. Much more prayerful and quiet, but not everything the priest says can be heard by those "hearing" Mass. It really stresses the importance of prayer as the active participation of the laity.
